Formed in Glasgow in 1996, Camera Obscura have long been cherished as masters of literate, melancholic pop, earning international acclaim across five beautifully crafted albums. After a hiatus, the band made a much-celebrated return in 2019, invited by Belle & Sebastian to perform at the Boaty Weekender. This followed two sold-out homecoming shows at Glasgow’s Saint Luke’s, marking their first live appearances in nearly five years. In 2024, Camera Obscura released their eagerly awaited new album Look to the East, Look to the West, thrilling longtime fans and new listeners. A sold-out UK tour followed the record and select shows across Europe and an extensive tour of North America culminating in 3 x sold-out shows in Mexico city, re-establishing their place in the indie pop canon. In 2025, the band will embark on a 6-date UK and Ireland tour, culminating in a special hometown performance at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park Bandstand.
