Alabama Shakes

About

After more than a decade away, Alabama Shakes are set to return with their first new album in 11 years. The Athens, AL-raised band, comprised of Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell, first broke out with their 2012 debut Boys & Girls (ATO Records), which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart and earned multiple GRAMMY nominations. Lead single, “Hold On,” was named Rolling Stone’s #1 Song of 2012, propelling the group onto major stages including the White House and Saturday Night Live.

Their momentum grew with the groundbreaking Sound & Color, released in 2015. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and won GRAMMYs for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, with “Don’t Wanna Fight” winning Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.

Following extensive touring in the US, and a run of sold-out shows in the UK and Europe in July 2026, Alabama Shakes will release their third album on 28th August 2026 via Island Records.
