About

Oregon-bred trio Joseph, comprised of three sisters and named in tribute to the town of Joseph in Oregon, got their start playing backyard parties and gradually amassed a devoted fanbase. Following the release of their 2016 debut album, I’m Alone, No You’re Not, Joseph were invited to perform at major festival such as Latitude and Bonnaroo, and touring with artists including James Bay and Michael Kiwanuka. As they brought their 2019 album, Good Luck, Kid, to life, the Closner sisters stepped away from the dreamy folk of their debut towards a grittier and more dynamic sound. Joseph have since performed both as an acoustic trio and a full band at festivals across the globe including Coachella, Newport Folk Festival, Glastonbury, Mad Cool, and BST Hyde Park. 

The band’s fourth studio album, The Sun, was released April 28th 2023 on ATO Records.
